Bricks

The bricks below were presumably made at Bundamba, but which brickworks is still unclear..

Description:  Brown brick with tiny, black, indented blotches.  One end glossy.
Condition:  Some crumbling.
Type:  House brick?
Frog:  Shallow, flat frog with inscription and screw marks each end.
Inscription:  “B” (broad, indented).
Origin:  Residence, Bergin St, Booval.

Description:  Smooth, white brick with tiny specks and black smudges.
Condition:
Type:  House Brick or Kiln Brick.
Frog:  Shallow, rectangular, slightly-rounded frog with inscription. Large screw marks each end of frog.
Inscription:  “B” (broad, indented).
Origin:  Residence, Bergin St, Booval.

Description:  White, Angular Brick.
Condition:  Some crumbling and worn surface.
Type:  Kiln Arch Brick
Frog:  Shallow, double rectangular depression with inscription one side.  Flat on rear.
Inscription:  Broad “B” indentation.  Raised screw marks each side.
Origin:  Fernie Creek Cutting, Swanbank.
