Hart's Brickworks

According to Betty Bork (“Dinmore-New Chum History”) Hart’s Brickworks were “right beside the railway line just past Dinmore Pottery”.  I have marked the possible site on the 1946 aerial photo.

Bricks

Description:  Light coloured with brown tinge and speckles
Condition:  Minor fissures & some crumbling of edges
Type: Fire Brick
Frog: None apart from inscription
Inscription: Indented outline of heart
Origin:  Unknown

Description:  Light coloured with discolouring. 
Condition:  Very rough surface
Type:  Fire Brick

Origin:  Old West Moreton Colliery site, Bundamba

Description:  Light colour with a brown stain and discolouring.  Two slightly raised circular projections on front face; two small screw marks on rear
Condition:  Minor fissures & some crumbling of edges
Type:  Fire Brick
Frog:  None apart from inscription
Inscription:  Indented heart.
Origin:  Unknown

Description:  Light-coloured, multi-coloured with many specks.  
Condition:  End broken off as well as some of edges.
Type:  Fire Brick
Frog:  None apart from inscription.
Inscription:  Two indented hearts facing away from each other.
Origin:  Rear of Claypave site, Dinmore
